Alumni Advisory Council

The purpose of the Alumni Advisory Council is to preserve, steward and advance the mission of Boston College High School.

The Council will represent the leadership of the national and global BC High Alumni Network, promoting a positive image of BC High and establishing programs that enhance a close and continuing relationship between the school and its alumni. The goal of the Alumni Advisory Council is to ensure that BC High alumni can come together to foster a vibrant, dynamic community that offers broad opportunities for lifelong engagement for the purposes of social, intellectual and spiritual well-being.

GOLD Leadership Circle

The GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) Leadership Circle at BC High serves as a dynamic group of advocates, ambassadors, and advisors dedicated to creating a strong connection between recent alumni and the school. 

Members of the GOLD Leadership Circle play an important role by:

  • Promoting philanthropy within their class.
  • Encouraging classmates to engage with BC High and its Alumni Network.
  • Helping to promote and support events.
  • Collaborating with the Advancement Team to coordinate future events.
  • Offering valuable insights into how classmates feel about engaging with and giving back to BC High.

Alumni Veterans Affinity Network

BC High has an alumni affinity group for Veterans called the BC High Veterans Alumni Network (BCHVAN). All active-duty members, reservists, and Veterans in any of the six branches of U.S. military service are welcome to join. Reunion Committee Volunteer

Reunion Committee Volunteers build excitement around supporting our yearly Grand Reunion, held in the late spring.

Reunion Committees are designed to help drive attendance for the event and increase the giving percentage of your respective class.

Alumni Volunteering Opportunities

Sanofka Mentoring Program

The mission of the Sankofa Mentoring Program is to assist current Black and Latino students with their academic, social, and spiritual formation during their time at BC High. Through the program, students will be given the opportunity to connect and build relationships with Black and Latino alumni.

This program nourishes student needs beyond the classroom and provides the support, the resources, and the voices necessary to ensure Black and Latino students are successful during their time at BC High and beyond. During the academic year, mentors and mentees will work to cultivate leadership skills, build community, and have fun through social and academic programs put on by the Sankofa Mentorship staff.

At its core, this program is rooted in the Catholic tradition of our school, specifically in its Jesuit values, which calls for a faith that is committed to the promotion of justice. This program reflects our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensuring every student and alumnus feels known, cared for, and seen.
