Our enrollment process is designed to be easy, accessible, and transparent. We want you to spend as much time as you need getting to know our school and asking questions about our academics, co-curriculars, student life, and service learning. That’s why we offer opportunities to view our campus, chat with students and teachers, and even sit in on classes.
We have many ways for you to get a feel for our school. Whether you take a tour of the campus, sit in on a class during our shadow program or attend our open house, you’ll get a better sense of who we are and whether you belong here.
Ready to apply? It’s easy to get started. An online application portal, Ravenna, keeps all your application materials—including transcripts, standardized test scores, and letters of recommendation—in one convenient place.

Students entering Grades 7-8 are required to take the Independent Schools Entrance Exam (ISEE Middle Level).
Students entering Grades 9-11 can take any one of the following:
Grade 9: BC High prefers grade 9 applicants take either the SSAT or the ISEE as a part of the application process. Both tests include a proctored writing section as part of the test. As the HSPT does not include a writing section, applicants who take the HSPT will be required to submit a graded writing assignment from the applicant’s English or history class in addition to the standardized test.
Grades 10 or 11: HSPT, SSAT, MCAS, PARCC, PSAT, SAT, or ACT
Throughout the fall, we will offer on-site testing. Students will need to register for the tests directly through the testing organizations.
