The BC High Model UN Club successfully hosted its 33rd annual conference on Saturday, March 1, 2025. This year, the event welcomed 508 students from 45 schools across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
The guest speakers, Delphia Bizzell and Andrew Maier from the Massachusetts Housing Alliance, shared their powerful stories of overcoming homelessness and their advocacy for those in need. Their insights inspired delegates as they worked to address global issues throughout the day.
Entirely student-led, BC High Model UN XXXIII featured over 22 committees, covering a wide range of topics from historical events like the 2008 financial crisis to creative and futuristic discussions such as Star Wars and silenced voices: Afghan women seeking refuge. Delegates engaged in debates, negotiations, and resolution-building, gaining a deeper understanding of global challenges and the workings of international organizations.
The conference was a resounding success, fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and leadership among all participants!
