Tom-Conley
Welcome from our Athletic Director, Tom Conley '08

As an alumnus, I am proud to share that athletics at BC High are not just about competition—they are about formation.  The playing fields are an extension of the classroom, where we teach our students the values of hard work, humility, teamwork, and respect. With 20 sports across 70 teams, there’s a place for every student to grow as a person and an athlete.

We believe that athletics forms a vital part of a BC High student’s journey. We will fully support those student-athletes who are eager to play at the collegiate level while appreciating that many others are simply proud to wear an Eagles uniform. Our goal is to watch our young men develop as good people, learning life lessons, and building a sense of pride and brotherhood. Our coaches, many of whom are alumni and educators, are mentors who care deeply about the holistic development of each student-athlete, prioritizing their growth as individuals over their athletic performance. Through these experiences, our student-athletes are shaped into better men, prepared to live out the Jesuit values of service, leadership, and integrity.

Athletics at BC High provide the opportunity for students to connect, build character, and learn what it truly means to represent something larger than themselves

Go Eagles!

Philosophy & Mission

Philosophy

Hard Work, Humility, Respect, Teamwork

Our coaching staff consists of dedicated men and women who serve as outstanding role models for our student-athletes. These coaches understand that besides playing to win, their role as coach includes character formation and positive sportsmanship. The athletic philosophy at BC High is no different from our academic philosophy – the playing fields are an extension of the classroom.

The student-athletes at the school understand they represent, not just themselves, but the entire BC High community when they wear the maroon and gold uniform. How they conduct themselves on and off the field is important to their overall well-being and attitude.

Mission

Fostering a Safe and Supportive Team Environment

Our mission is to foster a safe, supportive, and positive training environment for the entire BC High community to achieve their fitness goals. We educate our student-athletes to have an appreciation and knowledge of developing their own bodies, physical strengths, and performance weaknesses. We aid in the achievements of individuals and athletic teams through organized and planned training sessions. We scaffold positive habits, behaviors, and routines that foster leadership, resiliency, and training autonomy.
