Each year, I am reminded again and again how fortunate all of us at BC High are to have a strong foundation upon which we rely. This bedrock is formed by many things – our faith, our vibrant academic program in the 500+ year-old Jesuit tradition, and our shared vision for our boys to become contemplatives in action.
But as we share this annual report with you, what inspires me most is the commitment of so many of our alumni, parents, friends, families, and faculty and staff whose gifts make our school stronger. It has been thrilling to celebrate with you the impact of transformational gifts like the Imago Dei Center for Diversity Equity, & Inclusion, as well as gifts to support student leadership, financial aid, and the House System, as they are not just investments in the school, but affirmations that our community understands what it means for our students to be Jesuit-educated – that is, a spiritual person, a leader, an innovator, a champion for equity, and a global citizen. The collective momentum of these gifts sets BC High on a path towards excellence. But, it is the support from our entire community of donors that shows the power of many individuals coming together for a common goal – that is, to provide the very best Jesuit, Catholic formation for a generation of promising young men from Boston and beyond.
In a time when the world continues to feel uncertain, you have made the decision to support our students and our community in ways that go beyond financial contributions. Thank you for your gifts, your loyalty, and your commitment to our shared mission.
With heartfelt thanks,
Fr. Don MacMillan, SJ ’60 was an important part of my formation and that of so many BC High alumni. His ministry of presence has touched our family through four generations and many events including weddings, baptisms and funerals. His kindness and generous spirit means so much and he has left an indelible imprint on us all. It is important that we recognize the impact that Fr. Don has made to the BC High community. This scholarship offers a student an opportunity to embrace a Catholic Jesuit education that will provide a foundation for formation and commitment. AMDG.

BC High gratefully recognizes our donors who generously gave $10,000 or more in outright gifts of cash, securities, and property in the past year. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to our mission.
I was fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of a scholarship from Dick Walsh during my time at BC High. Mr. Walsh's incredible generosity made going to BC High a possibility for me and my family, and I'll always be grateful for that. I told myself when I graduated back in 2009 that giving back to BC High, to the extent that I could, would always be a priority and something that I would commit to if possible. I'm incredibly happy to be able to give back every year to the school that gave me so much.
