Over the last 18 months, I have been reminded again and again how fortunate all of us at BC High are to have a strong foundation upon which we rely. This bedrock is formed by many things – our faith, our vibrant academic program in the 500-year-old Jesuit tradition, and our shared vision for our boys to become contemplatives in action.
But as we share this annual report with you, what inspires me most is the commitment of so many of our alumni, parents, friends, families, and faculty and staff whose gifts make our school stronger. Unprecedented times require unprecedented support, and when we called – you answered. As the economic impact of COVID-19 continued, you made gifts to help provide food, academic necessities, transportation, and essential needs to more than one hundred of our young men. Most importantly, because of your tremendous philanthropic support, in 2021-2022 we were able to provide more than $500,000 in additional financial aid to families impacted by the pandemic, keeping more than 70 boys enrolled at BC High.
You stepped up not only for our students, but for each other as well. Flocking to businesses and restaurants owned by BC High families, participating in our virtual events, and tuning in to Livestream Mass each week from Loyola Chapel. We drew closer as a community than ever before and remained strong in the face of one of the biggest global challenges we are ever likely to experience.
I have great hopes that in 2022 we gather together again in person to celebrate this incredible community. Until then, I offer my heartfelt thanks – for your gifts, your loyalty, and your commitment to our shared mission.
With Deepest Gratitude,
For our family BC High represents an opportunity for ALL young men to thrive. With hundreds of extracurricular activities ranging from athletics to theater, business clubs, volunteering and STEM programming — the school embraces all of the talents of well-rounded individuals and encourages them to be the best version of themselves and ultimately men for others.”

BC High gratefully recognizes our donors who generously gave $10,000 or more in outright gifts of cash, securities, and property in the past year. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to our mission.
I give to BC High out of dual senses of gratitude and duty. I am deeply grateful to BC High for the quality of my education. Since leaving Morrissey Boulevard, I've always felt prepared to rise up and meet new challenges on account of the solid, broad foundation that I acquired during my four years there. Perhaps more importantly, my gratitude reflects my still-growing appreciation for the character elements that BC High endeavors to instill in their Graduates at Graduation. I believe the characteristics of the Grad at Grad have helped me to build better professional and personal relationships than I would have otherwise. The sense of duty that drives my giving is born out of a hope that BC High may continue to educate and form the next generation of young students (and the next after that). Therefore, I am obligated to do my part in bringing that hope to fruition.

From the time our kids were preschoolers, we've understood that the economics of a private school don't add up — the cost of delivering an education exceeds the sum of tuition dollars. So we've made a conscious decision to help offset that gap and make an annual contribution to The Fund for BC High. We hope that through these gifts, BC High will continue to thrive, providing experienced and caring teachers, a robust curriculum, a variety of extracurriculars and financial aid for any who need it.
