We are excited to share that BC High is undergoing a number of upgrades and enhancements that will better align the physical spaces on campus with our philosophical approach to education. Visit our Campus Master Plan site for the latest details!
Campus Master Plan
As the Columbia Point neighborhood continues to develop, innovation is at our doorstep. With neighbors like UMass-Boston, JFK Library, and Edward M. Kennedy Institute, we have the extraordinary ability to integrate the city into our classrooms and bring real life experience into our lessons.
The same compelling backdrop offers endless opportunities to give back to the community, which is an integral part of our educational model. For instance, students may find themselves spending an afternoon sharing meals with Bostonians struggling with homelessness in Boston Common, volunteering as a pallbearer at St. Anthony’s Shrine, or taking part in any number of BC High’s many local service and justice initiatives. The city lends itself to our many efforts in this arena, too.
The rewards of our urban model are especially evident in a STEM partnership with Harvard Medical School aimed at engaging students in science and biology with hands-on, real-world experience. In addition to the confidence they gain through practice – this time in a MEDscience Simulation Lab on Harvard’s campus — students learn critical thinking, leadership, problem solving, and teamwork, all required skills for 21st century success.
We can host corporate events, weddings, single and multi-day conferences, organization/board meetings, dinners and luncheons. In addition, we offer in-house catering; from light breakfasts to buffet lunches to seated plated dinners. Facilities are available year-round during the school year as well as over the summer.
